According to a recent media report this convention centre is expected to host mega events on the lines of those which are presently hosted in Goa. It is being planned to be at par with the convention centers in Bangkok and Hong Kong.
A toy train from Digha to Udaipur
The introduction of a toy train is another recent initiative which was taken by the tourism department of the state. The proposed train is to run from Digha to Udaipur, which is located near Odisha border. This according to tourist department officials will be a pleasure trip and will be a major tourist attraction in Digha.
A rope way up to Shankarpur from Digha
Digha Sankarpur Development Authority has also planned to introduce a rope-way from Digha to Shankarpur. Once this project is completed, as a tourist you would be able to have a complete view of the coastline of Digha from the top.
