The latest in line with the numerous tourism development initiatives include the proposal to launch the seaplane services at this evergreen beach destination. What this initiative is about?
The West Bengal Government has been very active to promote Digha and recently put forth a request to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) for the commencement of seaplane services in Digha. As already mentioned this proposal comes in line with a report which highlights Digha emerging as a tourist destination in Bengal. You would be happy to note that, the state government has already begun with the building of the infrastructure at this beach town.
The State Government is looking for investing in seaplanes in order for luring more and more tourists to the state. This will in turn ultimately help to improve the local economy. It also suggests that the state government is looking forward to introducing water-friendly aircraft that will land on water. The passengers on board can then onboard vessels or boats to come ashore.
