According to the latest West Bengal Tourism News 10 of the tourism facilities are to be reopened in different parts of the state. Ever since the middle of March since the COVID19 Corona Virus Pandemic struck India, things have gone in turmoil. With nearly 13 Lacs people infected in the country and the daily number of new cases reaching the 50000 mark, the situation is indeed serious. What the decision is?
The West Bengal State Government as already mentioned has decided to reopen 10 of its facilities which are located in different parts of the state. As per the report, the Morgan House Tourist Lodge in Kalimpong in North Bengal is to reopen and along with the same a Government-owned property in the seaside resort town of Digha. At present, the State Government has 34 Tourist Lodges in the state out of which 10 have been reopened. According to the report, the sanitization of every room after the check-out of every guest would be ensured. Along with the same as a safety measure, social distancing norms too are to be maintained. These include places like the restaurants and food areas where there is more possibility of public gatherings. The other places where the tourist lodges are to be reopened include Bishnupur, Maithon, Diamond Harbour, Tilabari, Rangabitan in Shantiniketan, Bakkhali, Jhargram, and Malancha. So if one is looking for trips close by these under the current circumstances could be considered.
